Questions and Answers about the hosts

  • Question: What is the purpose of this site?

Mike - The reason I wanted to do this site is because I enjoy software testing and I enjoy talking about it as well. I think I have enough experiences that are worth sharing. My goal is to provide those experiences to as wide an audience as possible while hopefully entertaining and challenging the listener.

Emily - To bring up topics about Quality Assurance that people struggle with, or people aren't aware of.   Challenging ourselves to talk about the meat and potatoes of real testing and quality, rather than dancing around the subject with hypotheticals and what-ifs.

  • Question: What is the agenda

Mike - What I think will be unique about this site is that it has no agenda. I'm not trying to sell my services or any sort of custom tool. This site isn't about generating money or selling myself to clients.

Emily - I want to get Mike fired up ;-)  He's super opinionated and I'm hoping to stir the pot a little bit and see what comes up.

  • Question: Could you summarize the idea behind this site?

Mike - The idea of this site is that it would be a way for Emily and me to share our thoughts on software testing. It will discuss basic ideas, specific examples, and basically anything we want to talk about as long as it in some way pertains to software testing.

Emily - Mike said it right, to "talk it out" - there seems to be podcasts about every other topic under the sun, so why not Quality Assurance too - with us - now.

  • Question: How will the podcasts be arranged

Mike - Podcasts are arranged by Emily and I choosing two to four topics each time. We then prepare ourselves to talk about those items but we do not share those topics with each other before recording the podcast. So Emily's topics are new to me while my topics will be new to her. We retain the right to break from this format when the opportunity arises.

Emily - Whatever suits our fancy that week.  My hopes are that weekly we find relevant topics that are interesting to audience.  I don't hope to be "risque" but I do hope to be avant-garde in our selection of subjects so we don't get boring.

  • Question: Who owns the information here?

Mike - Emily and I are both responsible for the content provided here. We are the owners and the opinions are our own. We agree to share credit between each other for the items on this site and we may use them however we wish as long as name recognition is given. No further compensation or ownership is implied.

Emily -Yeah, what he said.
